Across 9 years of psychodynamic counselling practice, I have come to an approach that is informed by my concurrent practice as an artist-gardener: co-creation, nurturing, growth and transformation are fused in our work together, cultivating the discovery of where and how you can live in yourself and in the world. The work of therapy resides in a space that we inhabit together, a space where  meaning can be made or found. It is a place in the clearing. Here, lives and held views can be encouraged to be found, to be heard, and to potentially transform.

I am Emma Macey, a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering evidence-based psychological therapy. I provide a warm, collaborative space for people exploring identity, relationships, life transitions and emotional wellbeing. I welcome people from LGBTQIA+ and gender, sexual and relationship diverse (GSRD) communities, including those in polyamorous or consensually non-monogamous relationships and kink/BDSM communities. My practice is affirmative, kink-aware and CNM informed. Alongside general psychological therapy, I also offer evidence-based trauma-focused work. I will be completing EMDR training between May and December to further support this aspect of my practice.

I’m Dave, a registered BACP integrative therapeutic counsellor. I have experience working with adults of all ages, backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations. I provide a safe, confidential space to explore whatever is going on for you and help to facilitate change in your life. It may be something very specific – like relationship problems or a major life event like loss, or a more general feeling that you would like things in your life to be different. Whatever the issue, counselling can help.
