Hello, I’m Sam. Thanks for taking the time to read my page. People often describe me as approachable, thoughtful and easy to talk to. I value honesty, warmth and curiosity in the therapy room, and I’m here to support you in exploring what matters to you, helping you find clarity, resilience and a greater sense of self.
I work from an animist understanding that the world is alive and relational — that land, weather, bodies, ancestors, and more‑than‑human beings shape our emotional lives. My approach is grounded, political, and non‑pathologising, informed by queer and non‑normative ways of living that resist narrow ideas of what a “healthy” or “normal” life should look like. I support people in listening to the relationships, environments, and inner knowings that already sustain them. Rather than fixing or correcting, I help clients reconnect with their own rhythms, sensitivities, and ways of being in a living world.
I offer a warm, kind, safe, non-judgemental space for exploring whatever you’re bringing – whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or low, or navigating complex questions about relationships, identity, or sexuality. My therapeutic practice integrates IPT-trained interpersonal therapy with anti-racist and non-oppressive principles. I work particularly well with individuals questioning their relationship patterns and wanting to improve their self-love and boundary-setting. As a mixed-race, pansexual person, I understand how these layers matter deeply. I welcome you exactly as you are and we will work together to find a way forward that works for you.
You might be feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, confused and facing challenges that are uncomfortable and distressing for you. It’s not always easy or possible to speak about what’s going on with friends, family, partners or colleagues for fear of being judged or misunderstood. This can leave you feeling unseen, unheard, worried and alone. Person-centred counselling provides a supportive, inclusive and affirmative relationship to share about what’s really going on. No judgements here. Just warmth, understanding and practical support with the next steps. As well as offering person-centred counselling I also run retreats teaching mindfulness, nature connection, yoga and small group
I believe no one has to stay stuck in the situations they find themselves in – there is hope and there is help. Sometimes life can feel small or overwhelming. You might feel caught in patterns of thinking or living that no longer fit, or something may have happened that’s changed the way you see everything. If this feels familiar, I can help. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk things through, gain insight, and begin to move forward. I’m fully qualified, BACP registered and work with people in Brighton and online in the UK.
I’m Julia Fry (she/her), and I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults online via Zoom. I work in a warm, open, and neurodivergent-affirming way — helping people process life experiences, manage overwhelm, and move towards authentic self-acceptance. What You Can Expect in Our Work Together Many of my clients start therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like they’re constantly masking to fit in. You might feel stuck between who you are and who you feel you’re “supposed” to be. Maybe you’ve internalized negative messages from others — about how you think, feel, or communicate. Together, we’ll gently explore all parts of
Thank you for checking out my page. Thinking about starting therapy can be daunting, so hopefully we can make this first step less mysterious or confusing and enable you to decide if choosing me as your therapist is the right option. I have current in-person availability in St Leonards-on-Sea and online throughout the UK.
I offer a holistic, existential therapy informed by the enduringly radical concepts of congruence, empathic understanding and non-judgemental acceptance. Staying present in a traumatising world of constant distractions is a universal challenge for us all. My way of working with dis-ease recognises the complexities that exist within, between and around us and how we experience ourselves over time. I am interested in the intersections of existence, how privilege and othering shift in different contexts to either empower or constrain us and how we make sense of that and also deepen our awareness of our impact on others.
