Hi I’m Rachel, I’m a queer/lesbian Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in person in Bristol and online. I’m Emma Wallen, a double-accredited and award-winning integrative couples therapist working with queer individuals and couples, including lesbian relationships and partners navigating non-normative relationship structures. Many of the queer couples I work with come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of conflict, emotional distance, or power struggles that don’t fit neatly into heterosexual relationship models. Others are carrying the impact of family rejection, cultural expectations, racism, or the pressure to “get it right” after working so hard to be themselves. Therapy can be the first place where those layers are truly seen together. My approach is relational, grounded, and practical.

My name is Pete Connor and I have worked as a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor for over 35 years in the not-for-profit and private sectors. I work as a generic psychotherapist with specialisms including working with individuals from LGBTQ+ communities and with GSRD issues; sexuality and sexual health; HIV, chronic and life-limiting conditions; life-stages and transitions; death, dying and bereavement.  I work as a UCKP Registered Psychotherapist and Senior BACP Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor from my home in Keynsham and online. Identifying as gay/queer, I offer an LGBTQ+ affirmative approach, integrating humanistic, psychosynthesis and Internal Family Systems frameworks.

I’ve spent more than a decade supporting people through traumatic and difficult times, including five years focused on LGBTQ+ mental health and wellbeing. For many years I managed a national LGBTQ+ listening service, specialising in supporting people affected by domestic abuse,  sexual abuse, suicidal feelings, and conversion therapy.
