My identity as a Black gay man deeply informs my work as a therapist. I bring not only professional training but also personal insight into the challenges of navigating spaces that may not always affirm your full self. I understand the emotional weight of seeking belonging and the courage it takes to move toward self-acceptance. I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT) and Mental Health Nurse. I draw upon all of my experience of working with a variety of people since 2006 in order to offer a compassionate space for personal growth and reflection. As a gay man myself, I also have an appreciation of some of the joys and challenges that come along with this.

My name is Ash and I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor based in Manchester. My practice addresses a range of issues, often revealing complex connections between behavior, relationships, values, desires, and early life experiences. Such work may allow you to explore how elements of your own life intertwine and influence one another. I specialise in LGBTQ+ counselling, drawing on affirmative practices.
