Hi, I’m Hywel, I’m an integrative therapist who works with children and young people. As I am trans myself, I enjoy working with trans and gender non-conforming young people, whether that’s focused on exploring identity, or other issues. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent young people, and this work often focuses on acceptance of traits, support needs and accommodations, and self-esteem.

I currently have lower cost space open for video sessions Thursday day time (£50).     I have been working as an accredited therapist for nearly 2 decades and have extensive training and experience with couples, poly (enm) relationships, families, individuals, utilising integrative, psychodynamic psychotherapy / counselling. Initially undertaking training at the Tavistock centre for couple relationships, in Swiss Cottage, London, I also worked, over some years, for a progressive gender clinic within an NHS setting whilst in private practice. Hi, I’m Stephen, an experienced counsellor based in Bristol, BS8. I’m currently offering in person sessions in Clifton and sessions online. As a gay man, I have a particular interest in issues relating to sexuality and sexual and gender identity and have extensive experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal as a therapist is to help you find new ways to resolve issues and make more informed choices in your life. Sessions offer a safe space to explore your feelings, emotions and thoughts.

I see clients one-to-one in Bristol and online when they cannot travel here. My approach is emotion-focused and trauma-informed. I work in an embodied way to help clients understand and transform that which is contributing to their problem. I work psychodynamically, helping clients liberate themselves from the impact of negative past experiences or relationships. I provide affirmative support to gender, sexually and relationship diverse clients.
