I have 25 years’ experience providing therapy for couples, individuals and groups. I’ve worked as an actor, author and award-winning journalist at the BBC. In the 1990s I volunteered with the Terrence Higgins Trust. I trained at Richmond College and Thames Valley University, with studies in couple and sex therapy at Birkbeck College. I’ve been a counsellor at West London Centre for Counselling, a group facilitator for male survivors of sexual abuse at Survivors UK, and a sex therapist for a national newspaper. At City Lit Institute I’ve offered professional development workshops, facilitated personal development groups and taught trainee counsellors.

I am a qualified person-centred therapist and registered member of the BACP. I work with adults in Clapham (SW4) and online, offering a supportive, confidential space to talk openly and at your own pace. I believe therapy should be a space where your full identity is recognised and respected. As a gay and neurodivergent therapist, I bring both personal and professional insight into the complexities of sexuality, gender identity, and neurodiversity. Originally from the United States, I have over a decade of experience practicing with adults and young adults in a variety of settings: hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, community-based mental health charities, LGBTQIA+ clinics, and private practice. I have trained and practiced in both the US and the UK, the latter where I’m currently a member of East London Relationship Therapy (ELRT) in Hackney. I originally received my Master’s degree in the US as a Clinical Social Worker, where I studied and practiced psychotherapy from a social justice perspective in marginalized, largely immigrant communities in the Boston area.

I’m an integrative psychotherapist and Registered Relationship Therapist working with individuals and couples across London. I specialise in relationships that don’t fit conventional moulds; LGBTQ+ partnerships, ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and people navigating sexual identity, desire and intimacy. My practice is sex-positive and kink-aware. I understand minority stress, the weight of living outside the mainstream, and what it means to want a therapist who genuinely gets it rather than one who merely tolerates it.
