My name is Vicente, and I am a queer BACP-registered counsellor with experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients from multicultural backgrounds. I work with clients who face challenges with relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma and identity. My integrative approach blends psychodynamic and humanistic therapies to address your unique challenges and needs. Fluent in English and Spanish, I offer culturally sensitive counselling in my consulting room in Hackney and London Bridge.

I don’t view the world with heteronormative eyes and I certainly don’t in the therapy room. I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, with a special interest and expertise in neurodevelopment and wellbeing. In my private practice near Bond Street in Central London, I offer personal coaching, therapy, cognitive & neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and ADHD). I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and integrative approaches.

I’m Hal, I’ve been working now for over 10 years as a Person-Centred therapist. As required, I add aspects of neuroscience and mindfulness/Buddhist angles to my work. My work usually begins by me letting you just be. In my therapy space I’ll not only offer you safety, but you’ll always be supported to feel whatever comes up: be it you being pissed off, anxious, sad, insecure, stressed, bored, vulnerable, fed up… it’s all valid.  

I am a counsellor working from rooms in Dalston, Hackney and in Holborn. I also provide counselling online.The largest part of my work is with Queer / LGBTQ+ clients, and I have previously worked with two LGBTQ+ organisations (Switchboard and East London Out Project). I have had additional specialist training from Gendered Intelligence and Pink Therapy. My core training is in humanistic counselling so I am trained in a range of approaches, but primarily practice using gestalt therapy. I am committed to a trans-affirming, queer-affirming, anti-racist approach.

Queer people deserve queer therapists. Being LGBTQIA+ is an incredible gift, but it can also be immensely challenging. I know the power that therapy has to bring individual change. That can translate into the wellbeing of our community.
