I am a queer, integrative therapist who will work with all aspects of who you are as a person and build the therapy around you and what you need. I am a trainee psychotherapist providing one-to-one weekly therapy for adults, on either a short-term or ongoing basis. I have experience working with a range of psychological and emotional issues including anxiety, depression, loss, and relationship issues, and in working with LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients.

I am an Integrative therapist this allows me to provide a reflexive therapy space that is tailored to each individuals needs. I work relationaly and with a person centered, trauma informed approach. I support a broad range of people and specialise in supporting people in the LGBTQ+ community. I am experienced in supporting Trans and non-binary clients.   I offer in person therapy for individuals in Hackney Central and Queens Park, I also offer online therapy.    

I am a full-time MBACP registered person-centred counsellor, offering online video sessions via Zoom and in-person appointments. 

With many years of experience as a nurse in the NHS, I’ve seen first-hand the importance of caring for mental as well as physical health. My transition into counselling felt like a natural extension of my nursing career, as I became increasingly drawn to the relational, emotional, and sometimes spiritual aspects of care. Both professions have deeply enriched me, and through supporting others, I’ve come to learn a great deal about myself as well. I work both online and in-person (based in North London).

I’m Hal, I’ve been working now for over 10 years as a Person-Centred therapist. As required, I add aspects of neuroscience and mindfulness/Buddhist angles to my work. My work usually begins by me letting you just be. In my therapy space I’ll not only offer you safety, but you’ll always be supported to feel whatever comes up: be it you being pissed off, anxious, sad, insecure, stressed, bored, vulnerable, fed up… it’s all valid.
