Hi there! My name is Alannah and I am a therapist currently working online, based in Fife and Edinburgh in Scotland. Being trans myself, I am familiar with many of the struggles of navigating one’s own identity and the inner conflicts that can arise when trying to better find and understand oneself. I have worked with many clients over my years of practice, dealing with issues surrounding LGBTQIA+ identities and working with neurodiversity, anxiety and depression, grief and loss and more. 

I have an interest in helping people to understand how loss (in its many different forms: abandonment, death, ending of relationships, loss of self) can take root internally as crippling psychological states, such a melancholia, that can affect your capacity to have close relationships with others. I’m interested in unconscious coping mechanisms relating to marginalisation, oppression and internalised homophobia.
