About the Therapist
As an integrative arts psychotherapist, I place the relationship between us at the heart of our work together. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including humanistic and person-centred models, as well as psychodynamic and Jungian perspectives, allowing me to tailor your sessions to meet your needs.Â
In our work, we can use the arts and creativity to accompany our dialogue. Whether through clay, drawing, or working with metaphors and symbols, these tools help to express and explore parts of yourself that may feel messy, confusing, or simply hard to put into words. I have found, through both personal experience and with clients, that the imagery we produce serves as a form of inner wisdom. These personal images help us make sense of our experiences and navigate through times when the path ahead is difficult to see.
It is important to know that you do not need to be an artist or "good" at art to feel the benefits of working therapeutically with the arts; creativity here is an additional resource, a bridge to help you feel, see, and understand your emotional landscape at your own pace.

I work in private practice with individuals in Old Street, and with individuals and in groups in the community. Previously, I have worked in the NHS and in the third sector, both one-to-one with clients and in group settings. I have experience supporting those who are facing a wide range of difficulties. I am particularly experienced in working with those struggling with anxiety, low mood, relational issues, self-esteem, questions around gender and sexuality, questions around neurodivergence, terminal illness, trauma, and mental health diagnoses.

Sessions take place in a comfortable, quiet and bright room. Once we have had an initial conversation on the phone or via a video call, we can meet for a first session. This session will last for 50 minutes and gives you the opportunity to ask questions, speak about any difficult feelings you may be experiencing and explore why you have come to psychotherapy at this point. You are free to discuss anything which may help you decide whether you would like to go ahead with the therapy.
If you decide to continue with therapy, we will discuss some practicalities, and I will share a basic contract with you. Together, we will agree on a time that works and whether the sessions will be online or in-person. We can also discuss whether you would like the work to be more long-term and open-ended or short-term with a specific focus. Sessions are normally weekly and last 50 minutes. They are charged at £75 per session.
