About the Therapist
I work relationally, in Transactional Analysis — the relationship between us is the work, not a formality around it. Change tends to happen through honest back-and-forth over time, not through advice handed down.
For that to work, the room needs to feel safe. So I try to lead with non-judgement — in TA we call it "I'm OK, you're OK." You're not a problem to be solved, and I'm not here with answers waiting to be dispensed. I'd rather understand how you actually work than ask you to fit a particular way of doing therapy.
I won't get it right every time, but I'll always be honest about where I am with you.

I'm a psychotherapeutic counsellor, currently furthering my training through an MSc in Psychotherapy — my approach keeps developing alongside the work itself, rather than sitting still.
Much of my experience has been with LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers, where identity, safety and belonging are often tangled together in ways that don't separate neatly. I've also worked closely with chemsex and gay intimacy, areas that carry a lot of shame and are too often approached with judgement rather than understanding, if they're approached at all. I bring the same starting point to all of it: no topic is too much, and nothing needs to be softened or edited before you bring it into the room.
