About the Therapist
Committing to therapy will be enlightening, powerful and lifechanging. I will hold a warm and compassionate stance when working with you. I will pay close attention to your life story, feelings and beliefs and work collaboratively with you so that we can identify how best to support you. I work with multiple modes of therapy as I don’t believe that one form of therapy can understand and unravel your unique life experiences.

My educational background is in social and political sciences and for the last 20 years I have worked in the mental health sector, the NHS and wellbeing services within higher education. I also volunteered for three years as a mentor for a charity that works with young LGBTQ+ people who have become homeless because of homophobia and transphobia.
When working together, I will draw not only from my clinical training but also from my other background experiences. My work history has meant that I have a lot of experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and identities. I am interested in how one’s social and cultural identity can impact one’s wellbeing. I also welcome clients to bring creative forms of expression through music, art, literature and nature.
