Welcome. I’m Em (She/Her) a qualified integrative counsellor and registered BACP BiCA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and Creative Counsellors member, providing short and long term individual and relationship therapy in York. I work to help people discover and accept who they are, what they want, to find their voice and make the changes they need to live a more fulfilling life. I provide inclusive, diversity-aware counselling, working respectfully and collaboratively across cultures and differences.
I’m a neurodivergent, queer and trans therapist. I know what it’s like to feel anxious, overwhelmed, low or just plain exhausted by trying to exist in a world that isn’t designed with us in mind. The things that affect you often affect me too — I don’t sit above you as “the expert.” Instead, I bring my own lived experience alongside my training and tools as a therapist.
I’m Dan, I have a wealth of experience working alongside trauma (for all ages) for individuals and couples, to accept, empathise, and be curious whilst working with attachment issues. I have experience working with all ages, genders, sexual identities, queer identities, with focus on the LGBTQ+ community, also being queer myself. Currently offering video therapy and Walk & Talk therapy (midlands only). I work with you, alongside you, not “at you”, going at your pace, utilising many approaches for what you might want or need.
I have been working as a therapist since 1999. I have worked with many LGBTIQA+/GSRD folks from all walks of life. I listen very closely to what is actually being said and help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and the events that have happened in your life.
I am a Swiss-recognised psychologist (PsyCo, Master level) and a member of the Swiss Federation of Psychologists (FSP). My work is LGBTQIA+ affirmative, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, supporting clients exploring identity, sexuality, relationships, belonging and emotional wellbeing. As a trans woman with lived experience and more than ten years in mental health, I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to be fully themselves. Sessions available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.
My art psychotherapy offering is person centred, adapting my approach to the clients needs, whether this be play centred, talk focused or mess-making sessions. Hello! My name is Jess and I’m from the Midlands in the UK. I’m currently living between London and travelling around Europe; when on these adventures I love to hike, paddleboard and dive. At home I have a gorgeous Maine-coon cat named Mycelium who rules the roost, and I like to spend my free time dancing, gaming and being outdoors.
I’m Jeneseka, or ‘Jen’, (she/her), a trans woman and person-centred counsellor. I offer a warm, affirming and non-judgemental space where you can explore your identity, relationships and wider life experiences at your own pace. My approach is grounded in the humanistic person-centred approach, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I aim to listen carefully and respond with empathy, honesty and respect, walking alongside you rather than directing or diagnosing. I have extensive experience supporting trans, non-binary and gender-questioning people, as well as work around gender dysphoria, social/medical transition, self-esteem, anxiety, low mood and eating difficulties.
Hello, I’m Tony and I’m an integrative therapist originally from Yorkshire and I pride myself on my warm, present and calm nature. I am passionate about working with clients in a way that allows them to explore their relationships with themselves and others, and healing and growing through the process. Above all I care about what I do and I’ve worked with clients and alongside therapist teams for many years, I studied my undergraduate, MSc and PhD at Edinburgh University, exploring identity, sociology and psychology and I’ve worked in the mental health and wellbeing field for over a decade. I
I’m committed to human rights, equality, diversity and inclusion. I am down to earth and bring my authentic self to sessions. I believe for the therapeutic process to be successful, the relationship between therapist and client is key. I provide a neurodivergent-affirming, trans-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ positive space for individuals navigating various challenges. I work with people who identify as gender, sex or relationship diverse and those who may feel different, misunderstood, or outside of traditional expectations. One of my aims is to provide affirmative, anti-oppressive support. I’m aware of the potential trauma and struggles people face regarding prejudice and discrimination.
I currently have online spaces available. I am currently offering online and telephone therapy. Please feel free to get in touch if you wanted to discuss what working together might look or feel like. I offer a free 30 minute consultation and I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have. A little bit about me! My is Daniel (he/they). At the heart of my work is incorporating LGBTQ+ affirmative approaches, Buddhist Psychology and spiritual practices for wellbeing, social justice and collective liberation. I’m privileged to have worked with many diverse clients of different ages, genders, ethnicities, sexualities, abilities,
