I can offer a warm, welcoming space to help walk alongside you to work through this together. I am adaptable and collaborative, meeting you where you’re at, and drawing on various theories and tools to help you on your way. I work with issues such as low confidence and self-esteem,
I approach each client with warmth, an open mind, and a sense of their unique perspective on the world. I particularly welcome inquiries from clients who may worry about judgement or misunderstanding, or who otherwise feel marginalised or under-served by the counselling profession. This includes people who embody gender, romantic and sexual diversity; people in non-monogamous relationships, who participate in BDSM, do any form of sex work, or who use psychoactive drugs. Although my orientation is heterosexual, I have lived in close community with LGBTQIA+ friends and family for many years

I’m Milo (they/them), a queer counsellor working online. I started Pink Penguin Counselling for LGBTQ+, kinky, non-monogamous, and neurodivergent people because I know how hard it is to find a space where you can fully be yourself and be met with understanding. With everything going on in the world, having a place where you don’t have to worry about judgment or safety feels more important than ever. I strive to create that safe space where we can explore whatever feels important for you together.Â
Hi, I’m Jamie, I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist from the north-east of England in the UK, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as a graduate-chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). With five years of counselling and psychological support behind me, my focus being on those from minority groups, such as those in the LGBTQIA+ community, of which I myself are a part of, as well as those who may fall under the neurodiverse umbrella, diagnosed or not.*
I work with adults and adolescents who are, for a variety of reasons, dealing with discomfort throughout their daily lives. This can be internal (Who am I? Am I enough? What am I here for?), external or a combination of the above. I work with people like you who are looking for a space to look at what works and doesn’t in their lives, finding patterns and using insight to guide real, meaningful change. You might come to therapy to cope better, to examine your past experiences or to simply gain insight into yourself. It is what we make it.
I have been working as a therapist since 1999. I have worked with many LGBTIQA+/GSRD folks from all walks of life. I listen very closely to what is actually being said and help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and the events that have happened in your life.
