Hi I am Andrew Ward a BACP-accredited gay male integrative therapist with several years’ experience of working exclusively with LGBTQ2S+ clients. I work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and gender fluid clients and am aware of the complex challenges that our community faces. It’s always a privilege to be part of my client’s journey, and it’s the prospect of helping others achieve enhanced self-awareness and greater self-acceptance so they can live happier, more fulfilling lives that motivates me. Please feel free to reach out for a chat; it would be great to hear from you.

With particular experience in LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergence & the Performing Arts, I offer a compassionate, sincere and confidential space for individuals and couples to work through their experiences. My practice is trauma-informed and neuro-affirming, which means I am comfortable working with trauma-based and neurodiverse frameworks. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, attachment, bereavement, dissociation and stress. Mostly, though, I am interested in you, and supporting you with the courageous decision to get to know yourself better.
Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful step. It offers time to pause, reflect, and speak freely about your inner and outer world in a confidential space where you are truly listened to. My specialty is working with individuals looking for deeper meaning and possibility in their lives, perhaps questioning their sense of belonging and life choices. I welcome people from all walks of life, with a particular sensitivity to experiences of difference and otherness. Therapy can hold whatever feels important to you. Questions around identity, purpose, or direction can arise for anyone, regardless how you move through the world.

I am a queer therapist, specialising in working with people within the LGBTQ+ community. Therapy can be a great way to give yourself the time and space, to process and work through your experiences and emotions. It can also be a place to develop coping strategies and make the changes you want to make. I believe in working with people as individuals, in a way that works for them. I will work alongside you, to help you explore and navigate your issues, experiences, current situations and the things that you may be struggling with.
I consider it a sign of enormous bravery that you’re thinking about coming to see me for therapy and taking the first step on your journey towards feeling better and showing up differently in the world. We all experience difficult things in life and need people to lean on at times, to help us through some of the more painful or challenging situations or to help us grow into kind, loving people. Things that feel overwhelming today will begin to get easier and over time, through our work together, life will get brighter.
