These are psychotherapists and counsellors. Although there is a separate category for sex- and sexuality-related practitioners, most therapists in this category will certainly discuss sexual issues, and many will work with them.
Race, gender, sexuality, culture and family history all affect our sense of self. If you are struggling with your identity, talking about things may help. As a result of my lived experience and training, I specialise in issues around identity and offer a safe space for you to explore what is getting in the way of you leading the life you want to lead. I offer an initial consultation session to talk about your hopes for therapy and to give you a chance to experience what sessions would be like with me.
Is it time to talk about what’s going on for you? Are you feeling anxious? Are there thoughts or feelings inside that have been there for a while but you just can’t find someone to share them with? Maybe it’s more recent; a loss, relationship challenges or bad news? You might be feeling depressed, your self-worth in shreds? Maybe you’ve some idea what lies at the heart of your distress, or you’re confused about your sexual or gender identity. I’m here to listen and to help. You deserve to come through, to feel better. Let’s sit together in a calm

What does freedom mean to you? Perhaps you are seeking freedom from anxiety, sadness, anger, confusion…? Maybe you are seeking freedom from self-doubt, low self-esteem or a lack of confidence? Overwhelming emotions or toxic relationships? Or, perhaps you envision a life where you can fully be yourself, without shame or fear. With a focus on self-identity, self-esteem and compassion, I believe we can all live freely and joyously, as ourselves. With my warm, accepting and collaborative approach I give you the space to be yourself, and find yourself. Offering in-person appointments in Basingstoke, Hampshire or online.
Coming to therapy can be a daunting enough experience, without having parts of our identity stigmatized, infantilized, and misunderstood. I bring compassion and humour to the therapy space, and hope to build a collaborative and nourishing relationship with you, centering your unique experiences and perspective on the world.
