These are psychotherapists and counsellors. Although there is a separate category for sex- and sexuality-related practitioners, most therapists in this category will certainly discuss sexual issues, and many will work with them.
Hello there, I’m Nat, I’m a queer counsellor and an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer short or long term therapy, and I am currently with clients online only. I work with and welcome people from all different backgrounds and life experiences (18+). I have a background in working with sexuality and gender. Many of my LGBTQ+ clients also experience neurodivergence such as ASD or ADHD and I have done additional training and self-education in this area.
People engage in therapy for different reasons and at all stages of life from a desire to discover meaning and purpose to exploring themes of loss and identity. Therapy is an opportunity to talk to someone openly and confidentially in a safe and non-judgemental space and I offer support to those dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. My specialisation is working with people who are LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent including ADHD and ASC, however, I offer a warm welcome to everyone.
I believe that in the right environment we remain whole, uninhibited and naturally driven towards the fulfilment of our desires and potential. Often other people’s agendas, anxiety and painful events in our lives can separate us from this forward motion and better judgement. This can manifest mentally, bodily, emotionally and even dynamically in our careers, habits and close relationships. Creating the right environment together; I work with clients to take an honest look at those emotions and dynamics, putting the unwanted ones back where they belong and ultimately helping my clients get back on track.
Hey, I’m Simon, I’m a qualified, integrative counsellor. I work online and in person and believe that the most rich therapeutic connections come from being unapologetically authentic and so I encourage you to really bring yourself to sessions (even the parts of you that you may feel inclined to hide) and I will do the same (colourful shirts and all!).
Hi, I’m Lucy, an experienced Person-Centred Counsellor living and working in Greater Manchester. As a counsellor, I’m here to support you with whatever challenges, past or present, you may be facing. As a queer therapist, I’m also committed to offering a safe and non-judgemental space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. I work both face-to-face and remotely. My approach is guided by your needs and wishes, working with whatever you would like to focus on. I also have specialist training and experience in bereavement and loss, and supporting those affected by domestic abuse.
I provide Integrative relational therapy and am based in Chancery Lane, Holborn and Fitzrovia. I am LGBTQ+ affirmative and take an active political stance against prejudice and discrimination in my therapeutic approach. I have over 20 years experience of working with LGBTQ+ communities within mental health and higher education settings.
I’m a queer cis-gender woman passionate about working therapeutically with gender, sexuality and relationship diversity. As an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, I’m highly experienced in providing evidence-based therapy tailored to your individual needs. I hold expertise in treating a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, and low mood, as well as work with people facing issues related to identity (including LGBTQ+ identities), relationships, sexual wellbeing, grief and loss.
Beginning therapy can feel daunting, so if you’re here reading this then you have already taken a big step. If you are wondering whether therapy is for you, I hope I can help answer your question. Therapy can offer a space for personal insight, understanding, growth and change. I offer a confidential, inclusive, non-judgemental, and safe space for exploration and reflection. I also believe that humour, play and creativity have a place in therapy and can play key roles in coming to terms with hardships and loss, and of healing. I’m Vivienne, a Bristol based therapist who also works online. I have a friendly, gentle and conscientious approach. I understand that it can be difficult to speak about very personal thoughts and feelings and I create a space that feels safe to do this. To me, it’s important to have this kind of safety to help us work through what might be going on for you. As a queer woman with a mixed heritage background, I work in a way that looks at how the different identities you might hold can impact you.
