I am a trainee psychotherapist providing one-to-one weekly therapy for adults, on either a short-term or ongoing basis. I have experience working with a range of psychological and emotional issues including anxiety, depression, loss, and relationship issues, and in working with LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients.

I offer a collaborative, relational approach to therapy, helping you explore past and present difficulties. Therapy isn’t a promise of constant happiness, but about building resilience, understanding, and the capacity to face life’s challenges (Jung). I recognise that each of us is unique and consider each person not in isolation but within the context of their distinct lived experience. I have worked with people from various backgrounds and life experiences, with extensive experience working with trans and/or non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ identified folk.

My name is Laurie May and I’m a non-binary counsellor and intimate partner therapist based in the UK.
