Hello! My name is Janine. I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. I provide therapy to adults and young people over 18 years old. I have a Masters with distinction in Integrative Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I strictly adhere to their ethical code of conduct. I have previously worked with individuals as a relationship counsellor for Let’s Talk Relationships (formerly Relate Bradford & Leeds) where I received training in couples therapy for depression.    

Originally from the United States, I have over a decade of experience practicing with adults and young adults in a variety of settings: hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, community-based mental health charities, LGBTQIA+ clinics, and private practice. I have trained and practiced in both the US and the UK, the latter where I’m currently a member of East London Relationship Therapy (ELRT) in Hackney. I originally received my Master’s degree in the US as a Clinical Social Worker, where I studied and practiced psychotherapy from a social justice perspective in marginalized, largely immigrant communities in the Boston area.

I’m Shaun, a UKCP trainee Biodynamic Psychotherapist since 2025, Somatic and Embodiment Coach with nearly 20 years’ experience working with the body, nervous system and emotional wellbeing. I work with LGBTQ+ people who want a therapy space where their identity is not questioned, explained or pathologised but welcomed as part of who they are. I’m deeply interested in how our bodies carry life experience, including stress, trauma, joy, identity and resilience. My work is rooted in warmth, curiosity and respect, offering a space where you can slow down, reconnect and explore what’s happening for you at your own pace.

I’ve been a relationship and identity focused psychotherapist for 20+ years, specialising in relationship diversity since 2018 when my own relationship journey changed course. I am a neurodivergent (Dx ADHD) bisexual cis woman who has practised various versions of ENM/CNM. As a BICA accredited fertility counsellor I have worked with LGBTQI+ families since 2014, often at the intersection with neurodivergence and diverse family structures (eg polycules, co-parenting). An additional area of interest is AI – I’m part of a global Mental Health Collective exploring AI in a relational context, both parasocial and where it impacts human relationships (helping or harming)

I’m a BACP Accredited integrative psychotherapist and Registered Relationship Therapist working with individuals and couples across London. I specialise in relationships that don’t fit conventional moulds; LGBTQ+ partnerships, ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and people navigating sexual identity, desire and intimacy. My practice is sex-positive and kink-aware. I understand minority stress, the weight of living outside the mainstream, and what it means to want a therapist who genuinely gets it rather than one who merely tolerates it. I’m Jeneseka, or ‘Jen’, (she/her), a trans woman and person-centred counsellor. I offer a warm, affirming and non-judgemental space where you can explore your identity, relationships and wider life experiences at your own pace. My approach is grounded in the humanistic person-centred approach, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I aim to listen carefully and respond with empathy, honesty and respect, walking alongside you rather than directing or diagnosing. I have extensive experience supporting trans, non-binary and gender-questioning people, as well as work around gender dysphoria, social/medical transition, self-esteem, anxiety, low mood and eating difficulties.

I am an integrative relational therapist with a specialism in gender, sexuality and relationship diversity. I offer in-person sessions in central Bristol. As a gay man, I bring my lived experience into the work – without assuming that other LGBTQ+ experiences will be the same as mine. I have experience in working with the trauma and shame which is often linked to our gender and sexual identities, as well as the ways in which our lives are more subtly shaped by our identity within a ‘normative’ society.
