I’m Ben Ross (MNCPS Acc.), a Gestalt counsellor working right opposite Liverpool Street Station, London. I trained in counselling at the Gestalt Centre, London, and am an accredited registrant member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I am also an advanced trainee in Gestalt Psychotherapy. Having worked with gay, trans, non-binary, consensually non-monogamous, kink-affirming and other queer clients, as well as neurodiverse people and people with disabilities, I bring an understanding of diversity awareness and affirmative support, that begins from where you are.

I’m a qualified and registered psychodynamic therapist, holding a Master’s in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, a rigorous three-year training programme. While my initial training was with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical guidelines and code of practice.  I’m deeply committed to helping people with a wide range of issues, especially those related to gender, sexuality, and relationships. From navigating trauma and distress, to exploring identity and intimacy, my practice is rooted in flexibility, collaborative trust, and evidence-based care. I believe that therapy allows you to take a more active role in understanding and experiencing your emotions, thoughts and beliefs. When we are not aware of our patterns, it can mean we act out certain behaviours, or experience certain feelings, without knowing why. And while we might be able to tolerate this for some time – perhaps even for a long time – I believe there is a difference between simply surviving and truly living.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor (UKCP / MBACP). I have experience working with addiction, anxiety, bereavement, depression, identity, relationships and sex, and much more. I’m Emma Wallen, a double-accredited and award-winning integrative couples therapist working with queer individuals and couples, including lesbian relationships and partners navigating non-normative relationship structures. Many of the queer couples I work with come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of conflict, emotional distance, or power struggles that don’t fit neatly into heterosexual relationship models. Others are carrying the impact of family rejection, cultural expectations, racism, or the pressure to “get it right” after working so hard to be themselves. Therapy can be the first place where those layers are truly seen together. My approach is relational, grounded, and practical.

I am a trainee psychotherapist providing one-to-one weekly therapy for adults, on either a short-term or ongoing basis.
