I’m a UKCP registered Psychotherapist with over eighteen years’ experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life changes, grief and trauma. Therapy with me offers a space to speak openly about what you’re going through. To recognize that the challenges, questions, and uncertainties you’re facing are a natural part of life. Exploring them together with curiosity and care, while also developing strategies and tools to support you, can lead to greater insight and a deeper sense of ease within yourself.

I am a non-binary, LGBTQ+ affirmative psychodynamic therapist. I am passionate about making informed, non-judgemental therapy accessible for trans and queer communities. The way that I work focuses on the connections between our past and present relationships and experiences. By exploring how we have become stuck in unhelpful patterns, psychodynamic therapy can help us to recover a sense of choice and freedom in the way that we move through the world and relate to others. My approach also takes account of the importance of identity and cultural background in shaping our experience, and the intersections of oppression and mental health.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor (UKCP / MBACP). I have experience working with addiction, anxiety, bereavement, depression, identity, relationships and sex, and much more. Located in Fleet Street EC4Y, Abbey Wood SE2 and Brockley SE4, £85-125 per 50-minute session, for in-person counselling & psychotherapy. There is disabled access. I deliver online when necessary. I also offer low-cost relational-embodied supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists — both in training and post-qualification as a trainee in the Diploma in Integrative Supervision at the Minster Centre (accredited by UKCP). I am an integrative-relational psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, counselling lecturer and trainer, offering affirming counselling, psychotherapy and supervision. My approach is warm, relational and process-led, helping clients feel understood while gently making sense of emotional patterns, attachment wounds and relational experiences. My doctoral research focuses on psychotherapists’ microskills and moment-to-moment therapeutic events, informed by object relations and attachment, which also shapes my reflective supervision practice.

Hello, I’m Rachael. I’m an LGBTQ-identified Person-centred Psychotherapist (UKCP Registered) with twelve years’ experience of working with clients. I have extensively worked with LGBTQIA+ clients exploring their life experiences, sexuality and gender identities as well as working with clients who identify as asexual/ace. I have experience of working with clients who have wished to work with an LGBTQ-identified therapist to discuss life experiences not necessarily connected with their gender or sexuality. As such, I have fidget toys in my practice room and welcome any sensory needs you might have (e.g. stimming, not making eye contact etc.).

I provide a supportive space where clients can address issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. My approach includes exploring attachment styles to better understand relational patterns. I also have an interest in psychosexual issues, drawing where relevant on my background in HIV research and prevention. Through a combination of insight and emotional support, I can help you identify stuck points and navigate difficult emotions. As you deepen your understanding of your inner world, I will support you in cultivating self-compassion and moving toward healing.

My identity as a Black gay man deeply informs my work as a therapist. I bring not only professional training but also personal insight into the challenges of navigating spaces that may not always affirm your full self. I understand the emotional weight of seeking belonging and the courage it takes to move toward self-acceptance. Originally from the United States, I have over a decade of experience practicing with adults and young adults in a variety of settings: hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, community-based mental health charities, LGBTQIA+ clinics, and private practice. I have trained and practiced in both the US and the UK, the latter where I’m currently a member of East London Relationship Therapy (ELRT) in Hackney. I originally received my Master’s degree in the US as a Clinical Social Worker, where I studied and practiced psychotherapy from a social justice perspective in marginalized, largely immigrant communities in the Boston area.
