I have 25 years’ experience providing therapy for couples, individuals and groups. I’ve worked as an actor, author and award-winning journalist at the BBC. In the 1990s I volunteered with the Terrence Higgins Trust. I trained at Richmond College and Thames Valley University, with studies in couple and sex therapy at Birkbeck College. I’ve been a counsellor at West London Centre for Counselling, a group facilitator for male survivors of sexual abuse at Survivors UK, and a sex therapist for a national newspaper. At City Lit Institute I’ve offered professional development workshops, facilitated personal development groups and taught trainee counsellors.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. My approach foregrounds the uniqueness of one’s experience while also acknowledging its socio-political context. My practice is committed to respecting each person’s singular mode of being and desiring. I invite you to talk freely in a safe, non-judgmental environment.  By exploring your formative life experiences, desires, and difficulties, psychoanalysis aims to open up space for new, creative forms of living. I welcome individuals of all identities, genders, and affiliations.

I’m a UKCP registered Psychotherapist with over eighteen years’ experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life changes, grief and trauma. Therapy with me offers a space to speak openly about what you’re going through. To recognize that the challenges, questions, and uncertainties you’re facing are a natural part of life. Exploring them together with curiosity and care, while also developing strategies and tools to support you, can lead to greater insight and a deeper sense of ease within yourself.

I am an Italian gay man who moved to the UK 29+ years ago. At that time I began embracing more decisively my gay sexuality and also spirituality and decided to start training in Transpersonal Psychology (Psychosynthesis). At around the same time I joined Pink Therapy and never looked back. I am currently working with individuals and couples in private practice and also organise training workshops for both therapists, counsellors and GSRD clients based on the principles of Transpersonal Psychology and GSRD Therapy. “Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. I’m Emma Wallen, a double-accredited and award-winning integrative couples therapist working with queer individuals and couples, including lesbian relationships and partners navigating non-normative relationship structures. Many of the queer couples I work with come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of conflict, emotional distance, or power struggles that don’t fit neatly into heterosexual relationship models. Others are carrying the impact of family rejection, cultural expectations, racism, or the pressure to “get it right” after working so hard to be themselves. Therapy can be the first place where those layers are truly seen together. My approach is relational, grounded, and practical.
