Coming to therapy can be a daunting enough experience, without having parts of our identity stigmatized, infantilized, and misunderstood. I aim to create an understanding and warm environment where you can show all the parts of yourself free from judgement or having to explain basic terminology. I bring compassion and humour to the therapy space, and hope to build a collaborative and nourishing relationship with you, centering your unique experiences and perspective on the world.
Hello, I am Zalfa, a Counselling Psychologist. At the heart of my work, I strive to create a warm and empathetic space for individuals from all walks of life. I support clients facing a variety of challenges, including self-esteem issues, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and low mood. Additionally, I have substantial experience working with complex mental health difficulties such as complex trauma, substance misuse, and gender-based violence. My work within the NHS and various third-sector organisations have particularly centred on supporting the LGBTQI+ community and individuals affected by gendered violence. I am registered with the HCPC and BPS. Â
The experience of coming for therapy is an opportunity for you to discover for the first or subsequent time in life that you can let go of all the judgements, the fear and hesitation, and begin to talk about what is bothering you. We become wounded within a sense of connectedness – in families, relationships, friendships and society – and paradoxically it is within a sense of connectedness that we can begin to heal. Healing the emotional brain takes time, but it is a creative and deeply fulfilling process that brings wonderful gifts with itself. I offer Individual Psychotherapy and
I offer a consistent, supportive, sensitively empowering relational space in which you can come to meet yourself with renewed curiosity, navigate an on-going difficulty, recover from traumatic wounds, (un)learn patterns of relating and expand your repertoire for connecting. Through straightforward, warm and expansive conversations you can increase your capacity to outline and strengthen the contours of your sense of self (clearer boundaries, needs, wants, edges, wounds and pleasures) and develop a readiness to articulate these confidently when needed while retaining your ability to be surprised, to remain open.
The aim of my practice is to support you through life’s challenges and difficulties. You may be looking to better understand your reactions, gain insights and practical ways to move forward. I can help you with areas where you feel stuck or aspects of your life you’d like to change, but don’t know where to start. To get a better sense of how I work drop me a line to arrange a free call. I have over 15 years experience and clients often report feeling calmer, more confident and secure within themselves, their lives and relationships.
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist and accredited CBT therapist specialising in providing therapy for LGBTQ+ people online. I have worked in NHS services and can support people with depression, all types of anxiety, stress, burnout and relationship issues, including coming out, building self-confidence, self-esteem, self-criticism, identity and relationships. I primarily use CBT and compassion-focused therapy but will work with you on your specific goals and needs.Â
Hi, I’m Bertil, a queer trauma informed therapist that works with you to understand how your past might be affecting you in the here and now. At the root of my practice lays a non-judgemental anti-oppressive practice which is shaped by my passion for social justice. I see my role as to support you to find the answers that exist within you, but that can get drowned out with the loudness of everyday life. I work attending to the body and the mind, helping you learn to speak the language of your body with more ease.
I am bisexual/queer, cis male identified. I work with clients across the many spectrums of sexuality, relationship style, neurodivergence and gender identity. I engage with my clients in a real, authentic way and invite them to do the same with me. My aim is to support you in exploring what is right for you in your life and context.Â
