As I trained in art therapy, systemic practice, outdoors therapy, and currently in somatic trauma therapy, I am able to offer different tools and modalities as needed. I use the term queer to define my sexuality, my gender and my relationships and I’ve been always passionate about affirming diversity and countering what is dominant, normative and damaging in our lives. Within my practice as a therapist, I like to explore the diversity that comes within relationships, including those with the more-than-human. I have a small private practice in Glasgow / online, specialising in GSRD.
I am an accredited psychotherapist, specialising in attachment, identity, and gender and sexual diversity. I work with individuals and couples, including many neurodivergent clients. I combine psychodynamic and person-centred approaches with Internal Family Systems therapy. My practice is rooted in love and compassion. I am committed to helping you feel seen, heard, and understood, and to supporting you in nurturing and understanding the vulnerable parts of yourself.
Dr Tilly Storr has been counselling since 1996, working with a variety of clients of all genders, sexuality and ages. UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and BABCP Provisionally Registered CBT Therapist. I believe we are fellow travellers in our striving for self-knowledge and health, and sometimes we need a guide to support our desire to understand ‘why we do what we do’. My approach explores how the past affects what we do in the here and now, identifies inner resources and strengths, as well as teaches simple but effective strategies to better manage feelings, thoughts and behaviour and reverse the cycles of anxiety, depression or low mood we can get locked into.
