These are psychotherapists and counsellors. Although there is a separate category for sex- and sexuality-related practitioners, most therapists in this category will certainly discuss sexual issues, and many will work with them.

Hello, my name is Matthew (he/him). I support people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and relationship issues, and specialise in working with people who are LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent. Through my lived experience, I know being LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent can bring up challenging feelings of shame and rejection, the result of growing up in a heteronormative and neurotypical world. I believe these feelings can be overcome and there is hope of living comfortably in your own skin.
I am excited to work with anyone who is curious about themselves and the world. I enjoy facilitating self-understanding and compassion. It is important to me that the environment of our work holds a safe space for people to bring all that they are. I am interested in working with all sorts of clients of any age or background, with a particular interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. My space is also safe for people who wish to discuss their issues with body image in a space where they will benefit from a HAES approach.
My aim is to support you in improving your quality of life, whatever this means for you. It could include: more fulfilment at work, a richer life outside of work, stronger connections with others, healthier intimate relationships, or a better sex life. We will work together to identify what you hope for and what stops you from getting it. I will challenge and support you to work through any unfinished business from the past; resolve unprocessed emotions; and develop your awareness so that you can live your life more closely in line with what matters most to you.
Hello, my name is Adam and I offer therapy for adults in Hackney. Therapy offers you a space to think about where you are in your life and where you’d like to be. I believe that therapy can help you live a more authentic and meaningful life. I offer an affirmative space where you can freely explore your sexuality, gender identity and relationships.
I am trained in person-centred therapy and use a trauma-informed approach in my practice. I am committed to understanding your goals and providing a non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I take an active role in therapy, ready to offer challenges when appropriate and to support you through significant moments as they arise. If you’re considering therapy with me, I offer a free 30-minute online consultation. This can be a great way to determine if my approach aligns with your needs. Feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to aid in your decision-making process.
I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist specialising in Gender, Sex/Sexual and Relationship Diversity, including LGBTQ+ identities. My approach is a carefully weighted balance of support and challenge, of grounded care and gentle nudging: I am not a therapist who just sits there quietly and nods, nor do I tell you what to do or how you should be. Instead, I will help you understand yourself better and, through that, make better sense of your difficulties. I am committed to helping you explore what makes you you without telling you what to do or making you feel like you ought to be different.
