I finished my training as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010 with the highest honour of my class at “Hospital Centro de Salud Mental del Este El Peñón” (Mental health centre Hospital “El Peñón”) in Caracas, Venezuela, where I was invited to join the group of professors. For 3 years I tough psychotherapy and supervised psychologists who were training as a clinical psychologist and medical doctors who were training as a psychiatrist.

My transition into counselling felt like a natural extension of my nursing career, as I became increasingly drawn to the relational, emotional, and sometimes spiritual aspects of care. Both professions have deeply enriched me, and through supporting others, I’ve come to learn a great deal about myself as well. I work both online and in-person (based in North London).
