These are psychotherapists and counsellors. Although there is a separate category for sex- and sexuality-related practitioners, most therapists in this category will certainly discuss sexual issues, and many will work with them.
I am a qualified counsellor based in central Bristol. I run my private practice from my home in Clifton – I primarily work face-to-face, although I do have some online clients.
Im Dr Kate Marks (BSc, PhD, DClinPsych) and i work with individuals, couples, polycules in many areas. They can be broadly divided into two pathways – the first is around the individual’s well-being and exploring their relationship to self, others and the world; the second is working with more than one person around the field between them and what that activates within them both/all. I specialise in working with family systems and those in blended and beyond-the-norm family set-ups; people who are in or who have been in the care-system; children and young people struggling; those who want to explore
If you’re reading this, you’ve likely shapeshifted through rooms that never really saw you – softened your truth, masked who you really are, or been made to feel you’re “too much” and “not enough.” You might be burnt out from surviving systems that were never built with you in mind, or your queerness may have been dismissed or sexualised. Maybe Kink, ENM, or sex work has offered space to reclaim agency – and now, you want therapy that doesn’t ask you to explain that. You don’t need to justify yourself here – I already speak your language.
LGBTQ+ Affirmative, Addiction and Trauma Informed. My approach is psychodynamic, meaning that we will work in a way which explores links between past and present relationships and experiences. In particular, I can help you to explore how the impact of the past has led to the development of unconscious, repetitive patterns in the different parts of your life such as intimate relationships and work, which may have become unhelpful. By becoming aware of these parts of yourself that may be hidden, more informed choices can be made and life can be experienced from a place of increased emotional freedom.

Hello! I’m Marie-Louise. I’m non gender conforming, queer, and sex positive. I’ve been a body worker for over 20 years. For when talking therapy isn’t enough… I focus on helping people release embodied trauma via ‘felt sense’ using Somatic Therapy. I also use Trauma informed fascia release to help clients release embodied trauma. This can include working directly with scars.
I’m Maithili (“mightily”), a BACP-registered psychodynamic psychotherapist. I work with GSRD clients, including those questioning or exploring sexuality and/or gender, and those navigating relationships, coming out, identity shifts, and family dynamics. I have particular experience supporting clients whose sexuality or gender intersects with race, culture, migration, or faith, who may be negotiating multiple cultural worlds. I offer in-person sessions in London (Harley Street, Mayfair and The City) and across West Surrey (Farnham, Guildford, Godalming and Haslemere), as well as online. Using psychodynamic and evidence-based approaches, together we explore how past experiences shape your relationship with yourselves, others, and the world.
