Hi, I’m Ed, a Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Trainer with a specialism in DBT and a focus on the LGBTQ+ and GSRD community. Based in West London, I provide online therapy nationally, supporting clients with complex trauma, dissociation, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. My integrative approach blends psychodynamic and person-centred therapy with DBT and EMDR. I also co-facilitate a DBT Skills Group, teaching emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Counselling/Psychotherapy can help us understand better how we behave, what motivates us, and how past experiences can affect current behaviour. By expressing whatever is uppermost in our mind, feelings, thoughts, wishes, fears, memories and dreams can be explored within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. The aim being to enable us to find more appropriate ways of coping with our difficulties and to bring about changes in our thinking, feeling and behaviour. I am an older gay man, originally from America, and have lived in the UK for over 20 years. I see couples and individuals in rooms in Kentish Town, and on Zoom. I have worked in the arts, the corporate sector and for a number of US and UK charities, and also work as an organisational psychologist for various organisations.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy in online sessions, with availability from 8:30 am t0 9:30 pm, on weekdays. I’m atypical as a person and I am BDSM and Kink knowledgeable and affirming. Diverse relationship arrangements and lifestyle choices are understood as natural human ways of living.  I specialise in providing effective therapy and coaching for neurodivergent adults, and I train other therapists to do this, too.
