I am an enthusiastic bilingual Clinical Psychologist, with more than 18 years’ experience providing effective therapy in English and Spanish, for adults, children, and adolescents. I finished my training as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010 with the highest honour of my class at “Hospital Centro de Salud Mental del Este El Peñón” (Mental health centre Hospital “El Peñón”) in Caracas, Venezuela, where I was invited to join the group of professors. For 3 years I tough psychotherapy and supervised psychologists who were training as a clinical psychologist and medical doctors who were training as a psychiatrist.

I am a psychotherapist in advanced clinical training at Metanoia Institute, specialising in Relational Transactional Analysis (TA), as well as a facilitator, storyteller, and coach. My perspective is shaped by a rich tapestry of lived experiences: I am a South African immigrant now living in London (where my cat rules the house), a former military medic, paramedic, and business owner. Living with late-diagnosed ADHD, dyslexia, and identifying as he/they within the LGBTQ+ and kink communities, I understand being uprooted and finding home. I bring this lived experience into our work only when it serves your goals.

I’m a queer non-binary therapist working online across the UK from my home in north east England. My practice is informed by lived experience of queerness, neurodiversity, disability and the mental health system. This includes personal experience of therapy that has been deeply helpful, practices that have caused harm, and many spaces in between. I’m autistic and was diagnosed as an adult, so I have a particular interest in working with late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed and questioning non-neurotypical people. I’m Polly, a queer-affirming therapist working with LGBTQIA+ adults who are carrying shame from family, faith or earlier relationships. Perhaps you feel proud of who you are, but still worry about belonging or acceptance, hiding parts of yourself to stay safe or connected. I offer a compassionate space to understand those patterns and build a stronger sense of self. I have a particular interest in religious trauma, including the impact of conversion practices and spiritually abusive environments.
