I’m Polly, a queer-affirming therapist working with LGBTQIA+ adults who are carrying shame from family, faith or earlier relationships. Perhaps you feel proud of who you are, but still worry about belonging or acceptance, hiding parts of yourself to stay safe or connected. I offer a compassionate space to understand those patterns and build a stronger sense of self. I have a particular interest in religious trauma, including the impact of conversion practices and spiritually abusive environments.

My counselling journey has been shaped by my own experiences of resilience, change, identity, and the importance of being heard. Following my own experience of cancer, I developed a deeper understanding of how life challenges can impact our sense of self and wellbeing, which inspired me to support others through their own journeys. My interest in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community grew through witnessing the importance of acceptance, belonging, and affirming support. This strengthened my commitment to understanding the diverse and intersecting experiences within LGBTQIA+ communities and providing a space where people feel seen, respected, and valued. I am a BACP registered psychodynamic counsellor offering affirmative, inclusive therapy for LGBTQ+ clients. I provide a safe, confidential space to explore identity, relationships, anxiety, low mood, and life transitions. My approach considers how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape present challenges, while working sensitively with the impact of discrimination, stigma, and minority stress. I offer one-to-one counselling in a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental environment, supporting you to deepen self-understanding, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I’m a Queer Irish integrative psychotherapist. My style of therapy provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ clients navigating issues relating to identity, belonging, relationships and emotional overwhelm. My work blends attachment theory, trauma‑informed practice, and a strong interest in the neurobiology of emotion and relationships. Clients often come to me feeling disconnected from themselves, stuck in familiar relational patterns, or carrying shame. Together we slow things down, tune into what’s happening in the body, and build capacity for safety, connection, and self‑trust. I work primarily with LGBTQ+ adults, with a particular passion for supporting Irish expats in London.
