Hi!  I’m David and I’m an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and  I work with therapeutically with children, young people and adults. I run a private practice in the heart of Whitley Bay in the cozy top floor of a Victorian terrace house which is readily accessible by bus and metro and there is plenty of roadside parking outside.  My practice is set up for talking therapy and also for more creative work.  I offer clay, paint and art materials and I have a sand tray for those clients who prefer to also work with their hands.  Within the practice there is

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a registered and NHS contracted Creative Psychotherapist who works extensively with talking therapy. I started my practice in the year 2000 and have over 25 years experience working with individuals, pairs and groups. Some of the issues I help people with are Identity Issues, Sexuality, Loneliness, Anxiety, Depression, Abuse, Addiction, Breavement and Couple’s Issues. I have been running therapy groups for gay and bi-sexual men, who are ‘out’ as well as men who are ‘not out’, for many years; and also founded the Gay and Bi-Sexual Men’s Wellness and Support Group in Covent Garden (since 2018). 

I am a trainee psychotherapist providing one-to-one weekly therapy for adults, on either a short-term or ongoing basis. I have experience working with a range of psychological and emotional issues including anxiety, depression, loss, and relationship issues, and in working with LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients.

I offer a collaborative, relational approach to therapy, helping you explore past and present difficulties. Therapy isn’t a promise of constant happiness, but about building resilience, understanding, and the capacity to face life’s challenges (Jung). I recognise that each of us is unique and consider each person not in isolation but within the context of their distinct lived experience. I have worked with people from various backgrounds and life experiences, with extensive experience working with trans and/or non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ identified folk. 

Integrative Counsellor   –   I am a trained counsellor and hypnotherapist with a deep passion for supporting mental health and well-being. My approach is shaped by years of learning from diverse people and professionals, and a background that spans both France and England. This multicultural experience has fueled my curiosity about the shared human experience and the unique differences that make every story important.

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist in London. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC/Registration number: PYL37448) and a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP/Registration number: 140807).​ With over a decade of experience in various clinical settings within the NHS, I have worked with clients of all ages in the mental health field. My expertise lies in helping adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotion dysregulation, and trauma-related issues. 

As a couple therapist, there’s nothing quite like witnessing a couple who’ve lost their way find their way back to each other. I love creating a safe space where they can reconnect on a deeper level and rebuild their love I’m passionate about helping others realise their strength and believe, with support, we can overcome any challenge.
